Susan Turcot: Beingrich

Turcot collaborated with musician Roger Turner in a drawing performance on an amplified board in a duet for paper and pencil.

"I began explorations with paper and pencil which led to a focus on sound and a concentration on listening and responding to the drawing pencil. This is a process which creates dialogue between materialized and immaterialized process. The drawing is done with the eyes closed, which exaggerates the sensation of sound and obscures the sense of physical orientation of the body and of its surroundings."
