Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon
Thursday, March 21 | 6 PM

Did you know less than 10% of Wikipedia editors identify as women? SAAG invites you to participate in our Art and Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon, in an effort to protect and improve our digital commons. Join us in a fun and social atmosphere as we improve coverage of non-binary individuals, cis and transgender women, feminism and the arts on Wikipedia.

Wikipedia is the largest and most popular general reference work on the internet with more than 40 million articles in more than 250 different languages. The fact is when we don’t tell our stories or participate in the ways our history is preserved, it gets erased. Gaps in the coverage of knowledge about women, gender, feminism, and the arts on one of the most visited websites in the world is a big problem and we need your help to fix it.

Guests are invited to bring their own laptops and wifi will be provided. Snacks, coffee and tea, and a bar service will be available.
