The Southern Alberta Art Gallery is now taking registration for a special travelling installment of Conversation In Blackfoot. On Saturday, July 20 guests will travel via Spotted Eagle Bus Line to artist Faye HeavyShield’s home on the Blood Reserve for an afternoon workshop followed by a visit to the Kainai Pow Wow Celebration in Stand Off. The trip promises to be one of the SAAG's summer programming highlights and aims to foster a deeper understanding of Blackfoot culture and language.  

Registration is $15 and includes lunch and refreshments. Guests are encouraged to bring sturdy footwear, clothing appropriate for inclement weather and a day pack to ensure comfort for the trip (sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, etc.). 


10:45 AM – Meet at SAAG
11 AM – Depart from Lethbridge
Noon - Welcome and lunch
12:45 PM - Conversation In Blackfoot workshop led by Faye HeavyShield
2:45 PM - Break
3 PM - Depart to Kainai Pow Wow Celebration in Stand Off
4 PM - Depart for Lethbridge
4:45 PM - Arrive back at SAAG 

Lunch will include a vegetarian and gluten free option, please let us know your diet restrictions and preferences and notify us of any food allergy when you place your registration. 

Registration can be made at the gallery or by calling 403 327-8770 (credit payments only). Registration is limited to 16 person, so early recommended is encouraged.
