  • SAAG Ancillary Programming Space 1409 Mayor Magrath Drive South Lethbridge, Alberta, T1K 2R1 Canada (map)

Join us for Cultural Canvas, a series of workshops led by artists featured in the BIPOC Foundation’s DigiArts Festival. This year we are thrilled to host two painting workshops led by Tandin Wangchen and Ryen Korea Bennett.

Masking techniques for abstract painting with Tandin Wangchen
1 PM - 2:30 PM

Through this workshop, participants will learn techniques to create complex abstract compositions with acrylic paint.

Abstract Landscape Painting with Ryen Korea Bennett

2:30 - 4:00 PM

The workshop will teach about the use of colour to build a landscape, working with a limited colour palette, using simple shapes and colour placement to create depth.

This workshop is open to all ages! All materials are provided for these hands-on workshops. Participants are welcome to join one or both sessions. Space is limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis. To register, please complete this form or email Heather Kehoe, Program & Event Coordinator, hkehoe@saag.ca.

These workshops are free to attend and presented as part of the BIPOC Foundation’s DigiArts Festival.
