FACILITY RENTALS

Looking for a venue for a private event? SAAG can accommodate a variety of needs through our three rental spaces; the Library, the Creativity Centre, and our Full Facility (Library, Creativity Centre and Gathering Space). As the perfect location for daytime meetings or small events the flexibility of our spaces and set-up make us an ideal rental space located in the heart of downtown. With the option to have gallery spaces open, as well as the scenic view of Galt Gardens our space will surely be a great visual addition to your personal event. BOOKING PROCESS

If you are considering the Southern Alberta Art Gallery as a venue for your event, please review the following information to determine if SAAG is a suitable site for you prior to contacting our Administrative Coordinator:

• Read through our Facility Rental Guide or visit The Shop at SAAG to pick up a copy.

• Come to SAAG anytime during out regular hours to look around to determine if our facility will suit your needs. No appointment required, just inform Visitors Services staff that you are interested in a facility rental.

WHAT NEXT?

• Contact our Administrative Coordinator via email, phone call, or in person, prior to your event. Typically we recommend enquiring about a booking at least six weeks in advance. Please include the date, time, type of event, set-up needed, and number of people anticipated. Please note that availability is based solely on SAAG’s own programs and events. 

• If we are able to accommodate your rental we arrange to have a contract emailed, faxed, or mailed to you. 

• Upon the return of a signed contract back along with a non-refundable deposit (50% of the rental fee) and copies of your liquor license and host liability event insurance (if applicable, see Facility Rental Guide), the date will be booked. Note that we will not reserve the date till all documents and payments have been received.

• Two weeks prior to your event, a representative from SAAG will contact you to confirm attendance and set-up details. 

• Final payment is due at 5 PM the day prior to your event.
